Our Story
Our love of the natural word, especially woodlands, and our years of experience protecting it led us to want to share our knowledge and skills with others who want to help care for their green spaces.
Why Sylvanus? Silvanus (meaning "of the woods") was a Roman deity of woods and fields. As protector of the forest (sylvestris deus), especially presided over plantations and delighted in trees growing wild. From the two words Silvanus and sylvestris came our name - Sylvanus.
